Problem
Statement

Many have found “Closed Captioning” (“CC”) a useful tool, while watching TV or DVDs – but this feature is not (yet) available for those “hard of hearing” persons who would (otherwise) enjoy a movie in the theater

Solution

Have a limited number of first run movies shown with CC in theaters.

I suggest (until these trials have been completed and the “marketing to this group” has been analyzed) that a “National Standard” be adopted –
Thursday 7:00 p.m. showings, where available, should include CC services.

Remarks
Explanation

It’s not just the volume – the “remarks” shown in CC make the movie more understandable and enjoyable, too.
